Whether you are flying for professional or personal reasons, you certainly check ticket prices. But how about other flight-related costs? How much do your transfers to the airport cost you? 


A very recent study classified European airports based on costs. The most expensive airport to reach by public transport is not a French airport but a London airport, which holds the record of the highest costs with 32.50 euros. London is the European city with the highest cost of travel to its airports, with 3 airports (Heathrow, Stansted and Gatwick) classified in the top 5.
Transfers to Spanish and Italian airports are much less expensive. The costs of transport to Pisa airport are the least expensive at 1.2 euros. Pisa is followed by Catane-Fontanarossa (1.3 euros) and Lanzarote (1.35 euros).

Paris Beauvais has the most expensive public transport transfers in France

The 5th most expensive in Europe, Paris Beauvais also has the highest transfer costs in France: 17 euros for the outbound journey. It is followed by Lyon-Saint Exupéry, Paris Orly and Roissy Charles de Gaulle.
